Getting Ready for Peanut

Matt's parents came this weekend and Matt and his dad finished up the closet in the nursery. We had to change up the closet a bit in order to incorporate the changing table. I LOVE the way it turned out and can't wait to fill it up with his little stuff!
Look how cute those little clothes are! He is going to be one stylish kid thanks to our moms and my wonderful friends that have filled his closet so far. There are also close in the dresser. I even washed the 0-3 months clothes the other night. So they are all ready to go when he gets here.

Thanks again to Mrs. Anne for the bedding! It just makes the room and looks so comfy I think I could sleep in there.
Look at Matt's handy work! We are using the dresser we already had and Matt built a changing table top for it! I'm so glad he is handy! If you look closely you can also see diapers in the side compartment. They gave us 3 free diapers when we registered at Babies-R-Us and I just had to put them out even though they are WAY to big.

Lastly this is what the room looks like so far when you walk in. I am going to put my glider (when I get it) in front of the window in that empty space. I am so excited about the way it is coming together. I will try and post pictures as we make progress.

Is that Possum Lost?

Yes that is a possum and yes it is in my backyard. Why was he there? Well he obviously didn't know that was Elle and Knox's backyard. As soon as we let them out Tuesday night they spotted him and went nuts! I just thought they went crazy over squirrels. Well, let them see a larger furry animal and it's mayhem! It was really kind of funny. I would have expected to see a possum in my parents backyard, but in my neighborhood backyard? Not so much!

Finally - this was Matt trying to get them back inside without going too close to the possum! Elle of course listened and came on in like a good girl, but Knox was being Knox and not listening to a word we said. We finally got him in and the possum must have moved on to another fence because we heard someones dogs go nuts! That possum needs to stay out of neighborhoods!

Girls Girls Girls

We had a fabulous girls weekend in Houston 2 weekends ago and it went by too fast. We had a wonderful reason to get together - it was little Elle's first birthday! It is hard to believe she is already a year old. She is growing so fast and impressing everyone with her sign language. She can sign pretty, girl, want, tree, eat, and many other ones I cannot remember. Her and little Peanut will be the best of friends! Unfortunately for Lisha we spoiled her rotten and she was not her normal sweet self after we left....... Sorry Lish!As you can see here Lisha stripped Elle down so she would not get her adorable birthday outfit dirty, but I think she would have been fine since she didn't want to get into the cake very much. She didn't like the icing on her hands. That's my kind of girl!
Here is her adorable birthday outfit!
And the proud parents! They are SO sweet!
Megs and Me!
The next day the girls threw me a surprise baby shower! I had no idea and was so excited! I have never had a surprise party of any kind.
How cute is this onsie? Shannon made it and I can't wait for Peanut to wear it and his daddy can wear his bow tie too!
Rocket man! Mrs. Anne gave me this outfit and it screams little boy into everything! I love it!

All my wonderful girls! Thank you so much! I will never be able to express how much that meant to me and how blessed I am to have each of you in my life.

The last day we were there poor little Elle was worn out! Matt was worn out too since him and Lee played golf all weekend! He was getting his practice in for when peanut gets here!

Mrs. Anne got us these shirts that say "Aunt" and then our names on them. Lauren and Shannon had already left, but we can airbrush them in!
What a weekend. Now everyone has to make plans to come to Jackson when little Peanut is born! That's only 3 months away! AHHHH!!!!

The Squirrel Hunters

Whether it's the front door or the back door, Elle and Knox are always on the lookout for squirrels in the yard. "They must protect this house." They have not caught one yet, but it's only a matter of time. I am just not sure they would know what to do with it when they caught it.
