Weekend in Baton Rouge

A friend of Matt's from med school got married in Baton Rouge several weeks back and I am just getting around to posting this.  Matt and I had the best time and were so glad we were able to go.  Especially since we have built in baby sitters down there.  The reception was so much fun and the first dance was the best I have ever seen.  Even better than ours.  And that's saying a lot.

Sam (the groom) is from Mississippi and Kelly (the bride) is from Louisiana so their first dance was to Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man!  It was so classic I had to get a video of it!!

A little fun at Gran Dan and Sheshe's!
We even visited Sheshe's class.  Notice the very grown up kid sitting on the blue square.

Matt and I snuck away to NOLA on Friday night to have dinner with Macey and Barry who are living there for a year.  She is doing dermatology and her first year is in NOLA and her next three will be in Portland.  So needless to say we won't see them much after they move.  Anyway, we went to Jaqu-Imos for dinner and it was amazing.  Obviously there are so many restaurants to choice from down there, but this one was awesome!  You better get there early though.  And as noted in the picture above parking can be quiet cumbersome while in NOLA.
And more fun at Sheshe's!
