What a wonderful Easter! Christ has risen, wonderful weather, family, one kid that is old enough to hunt Easter eggs, and Bubba Watson won The Masters!! It was almost a bust though, I forgot about dying Easter eggs until Saturday night. I had even bought the kit weeks in advance and didn't remember it until Sheshe mentioned it!
Thanks goodness she did. We quickly boiled some eggs and J-Man was able to decorate them before he went to bed. He mainly just played in the ice we used to cool the eggs down, but he did sprinkle all the eggs with sparlky dust while they were drying! The Easter Bunny finished decorating them when he stopped by though.
Since Franny Bean is too small to decorate eggs she just did a fashion show for us of her new outfit. You can see that our kitchen bar is her runway.
The Easter Bunny came to see all 4 of our kids. Jackson, Mary Frances, Elle, and Knox.
If it looks dark in all these pictures it was! We went to the 8:00 service so we were up early to beat the crowds!
When you go to a church as large as ours you have to make accommodations on Easter. One year, we had to sit in make shift chairs in a pastor's office while we watched it on a TV. From that Easter on we have made a vow to get to an early service on TIME! But, I also think our church has done a better job of making everything flow.
A big shout out to the 1,000s of volunteers that make it happen because the last two Easters have gone really smooth!
Francy Franny was wearing what the Easter Bunny brought her. And it was a good thing he brought her an outfit because she would have had to repeat a Southern Belle Sunday outfit if he had not. Oh the horrors!!!!
We tried to get a good family pic, and it's not too bad, but with 2 little ones it's impossible to get everyone to look at the camera and not get me nudging my kids to look at the camera. Hence, my awkward body pose. J-Man was wearing his seersucker suit his Aunt Lisha bought him before he was ever born. Thanks Aunt Geesh!! I just hate a I didn't get a body shot of him. He looked so dapper.
After church it was time to hide and hunt Easter eggs. Lucky for us Jackson wanted to hide AND hunt for the eggs. He was so funny. I was amazed at how he grasp what should be going on. After all, he has never really done this before and we don't really talk about Easter egg hunting other than at Easter.
He was all over the yard gathering eggs. I got an action shot of him here!
And this is what Mary Frances thought of us not allowing her to hunt Easter eggs. She was not happy with us leaving her out.
But once she got her paci she really didn't care! I hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter! Happy Monday!
